Takami focuses on danger, brittleness, conflict and instability as arising from situations that cannot be boiled down to one meaning, and that are difficult to come to terms with.
The sense of distance that emerges there, she expresses in her works by means of video, performance and others.

This exhibition combined elements of video, sound and performance, on a “stage” in the form of a ring-shaped object and a wall suspended in the center of the venue. The performers, dressed in green and purple respectively, engaged in complex, close interaction under the ring object, while keeping a certain distance while performing off-stage putting on wrong sized sneakers. The performance under the ring was filmed, and the footage was projected onto the wall, in black-and-white images with green and purple being converted into similar shades of gray, which made it impossible to distinguish between the performers. The exhibition was an attempt at expressing emotions and sensations evoked through changes in distance and communication, by combining elements of fluidity and instability.
